This polygon-shaped milking parlor typical of the 1970's had stainless steel milk receiver tanks. Milk flowed from the cows by gravity through sloped stainless steel pipes into the receiver tanks. When a tank was full, the milk automatically was pumped through a filter and to cooling equipment before entering the bulk tank.
