Description: This photo was taken during an experiment to determine if placing boars in with market pigs would reduce fighting after mixing. The presence of the boar (large animal facing you on the left side of image) reduced fighting and wounding by more than half compared to a control pen without boars. T.Grandin and J. Bruning. 1992.
