Two fluid-filled cavities were present in the ampulla of this cow's oviduct.  While the specific cause in this case was unknown, such a hydrosalpinx results from any block to the normal fluid flow out of the oviduct.  These would prevent sperm and egg transport through this oviduct.  Provided the contralateral oviduct was normal, ovulations from that ovary would result in normal fertility.
