Description: Bos indicus ovaries frequently have a flattened appearance, resembling oatmeal cookies or small pancakes, hence the colloquial name. They are normal for this species of cattle. Corpora lutea and follicles tend to remain largely below the surface making them difficult to palpate. (Ov = oviduct, Inf = infundibulum of oviduct)
