Description: A giant tortoise (Geochelone nigra) hatched one and a half months from date of photo with giant tortoise egg for scale at Giant Tortoise Breeding Center on Isabela island in the Galapagos Archipelago. Tortoises will grow to be over 400 pounds when fully mature.
