Description: Professor Ivanov (Ivanooff) pioneered artificial insemination in Russia mostly between 1900 and 1920. He focused on horses, important in the cavalry as well as for work and general transportation. His work became known in the west as a result of a paper he published in English in 1922. Circa 1925.
