Description: The chorio-allantoic membranes with their cotyledons have been removed to reveal the amniotic vesicle of this bovine fetus. The umbilical vessels radiate out from the fetus toward the cotyledons. Cotyledons (arrow) on the remaining chorion are readily visible. The fetus, amnionic vesicle, cotyledons/caruncles, and the placenta are readily papable per rectum.
