A two-celled embryo surrounded by the vitelline membrane and the zona pellucida as it normally appears about 24 hours after ovulation as it passes from the ampulla to the isthmus of the cow oviduct. The diameter of this embryo (about 0.1 mm) likely changed little from that of the ovulated oocyte.
