Professor Nils Lagerlof of the Royal Veterinary College at Stockholm was a pioneer in research on bull infertility, especially on sperm abnormalities and their relationship with fertility.  Much of his professional life was devoted to training specialists in reproduction and artificial insemination, particularly veterinarians from developing countries.  Prof. Lagerlof co-founded the first International Congress on Animal Reproduction held in Milan in 1949. Circa 1950.
