Description: A convenient location above the sow in this farrowing barn encourages employees to record critical information such as the sow's identity, date and time of farrowing, total piglets born, piglets born alive, runts, and any incidental health observations. Piglets from very large litters may be fostered to sows with small litters. Farrowing records also are used for selection purposes, as well as for farm finances.
